Home Wine Making - Bottler - Stainless Steel 5 bottle filler for rent (santa rosa) $25
...

I'm a home wine maker that has a new Stainless Steel bottle filler for rent to other wine makers at $25 a day.

It does a superb job, the best job possible short of the large winery bottling lines. The reservoir holds close to 5 gallons and is automatically replenished using float valve that opens and closes to keep the reservior at a constant level without over filling.

The reservoir replenishment is performed through a filler tube at the back connected to a siphon tube that draws from your wine supply (barrel or carboy).

The level of bottle fill is adjusted through two knobs that move up and down supporting the bottle neck at a specifc height from the top and a moveable drip catching base at the bottom. Once adjusted for your bottle so the ullage (exposed air gap above the ine and below the cork bottom on the bottle) is correct you don't need to keep fiddling with it. This precision allows you to do the job with one less person than is tradition. (Frequently other bottlers require one person to inspect and fill the bottles to the correct ullage using a measuring cup, *NOT* needed here.)

Each of the filler tubes operates independantly so you can use up to 5 at the same time. Placing a bottle in the filler starts the filling and the filling stops when the wine reaches the desired adjusted level and waits for you to take it off and put another empty on it.

The filler tubes, rely on a siphon action to draw the wine or port from the covered reservoir into the bottle. The filler comes with a bulb that clamps onto the filler spout to initiate the siphon action. Very convenient, other machines require you to suck through the tube (frustrating but a nice way to get buzzed while working).

The reservoir has stainless steel cover that encloses it. If you make a garden party of bottling, like we do, the cover keeps leaves and debris from finding it's way into the process.
We have found 2 people can just keep up with preping and corking with 3 fill tubes running (if you have the bottles ready and the corker with corks nearby). Three people can handle 4 tubes with a little sweat and 3 tubes quite comfortably. Four or more people are needed to keep up with a constant filling 5 tubes... again the bottles filled on the filler will wait for you so there is pressure and you can take your time *if* you are short staffed.
We have the 'optional' stainless steel drip catching bottom so none of the wine is wasted while setting up the correct bottle fill adjustment.

I also have a Bottle Filler , a Macrobin Picking Bin , a Corker, a de-stemmer / crusher , and a Basket Press, a barrel racking transfer pump that I rent here through the List.
I like meeting other wine makers, it's in my family.
My father is Jerry Walburg and there is more information my Italian family and their wine making at the winery site Crinella Winery
People often ask how do you make wine? Here is a web page with a description of our methods...
$30 a day for a superb wine/port bottler, and the lasting memory of having the right tool *at* the right price.
Then there is the iPod repair work. If you have broken iPod of any sort that needs to be fixed, an LCD screen replaced, the hard drive checked out *or* even dropped in water (I'm an expert at water immersion / run through washer / dropped in hot tub / dropped in swimming pool cases then check the website by clicking here.
I am in the Coddingtown area of Santa Rosa, three blocks from 101 on Steele Lane.
